Norrie Tago MacIver “The Gaelic cross-over voice of his generation. Norrie is a singer of range, clarity and melody, and although firmly rooted in Gaelic tradition, he has a voice completely at ease with a backbeat, effortlessly exploring rhythm and modern idioms.” - Calum MacDonald, Runrig Norrie "Tago" MacIver is a singer/songwriter from Carloway in the Isle of Lewis and is currently living in Fife after many years away from home. Norrie released his first solo album ‘Danns an Rathaid’ in 2014 which he released on his own record label, Tago Records. He was joined on the album by some of Scotland’s finest musicians including Brian McAlpine, who co-produced the album alongside Norrie. The album features some of Norrie’s own songs, as well as songs he has put his own stamp on. In 2018 Norrie was approached by Paul MacAlindin and the Glasgow Barons to write four new songs based on the history of Govan. This was a great opportunity for Norrie who had always wanted to perform with an orchestra. After the success of the first concert, Norrie went on to write a total of 13 new songs that he performed over 3 concerts with the orchestra. Together, Norrie and the Glasgow Barons recorded an album of all the songs during lockdown which was released in December 2020. During lockdown Norrie kept busy by performing through Facebook every week. This led to him winning “Online Performance” at the MG Alba Trad Music awards in 2021 The support Norrie received from the online shows blew him away and he decided to record a lockdown album for all the fans. This album was created completely by the fans. They chose the songs and album title and the “Lockdown Sessions” was released in November 2020 on Norrie’s own label, Tago Records. From 2016 to 2025 Norrie was the lead singer of Skipinnish and enjoyed headlining festivals and shows with the band all over the UK and Europe. 2024 saw the band play their biggest show at Edinburgh Castle to over 8 thousand fans and and in 2025 Skipinnish played the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow. This turned out to be Norrie's final gig with the band after being let go a few months later as the band, Angus an Andrew, decided to go into 2026 without Norrie and change things around for Skipinnish. 2026 will see the release of a new album for Norrie and his first UK solo tour in March with festival appearances throughout the year!

From their earliest days playing at dances and weddings throughout the Highlands, to performing all across the globe with Mànran, Gary and Ewen have become leading figures in the Scottish traditional music scene. Their duo performances have taken them to corners as far-flung as Kazakhstan and Shanghai, not to mention once touring the entire West Coast of the United States in a convertible Mustang… Indeed, it is from these very adventures – plus the musical heritage of their Lochaber upbringing – that their music and stories spring. Born in Spean Bridge, Gary picked up an accordion for the first time at the age of 8 and never looked back. He released his first solo album in 2005 with further albums also released to critical acclaim. Adding more strings to his bow, Gary took over from the legendary Dr Robbie Shepherd MBE in 2016 as host of BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘Take the Floor’ and has subsequently added his own Sunday evening requests show, ‘Your Requests with Gary Innes’. Ewen hails from Fort William and was steeped in the traditional music and Gaelic culture of the area from an early age. Starting on the fiddle at five years of age, he subsequently mastered an impressive array of instruments, learning from some true greats of West Highland music, such as Aonghas Grant Snr. Aside from Mànran, Ewen has toured the world with a host of top Scottish and global cross-genre artists including the world-renowned Battlefield Band and World Music pioneers the Afro-Celt Sound System.
