EDF Festival - Terms and conditions

1.1 – These Terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) incorporate any vendors’ and/or agents’ terms or rules, which you can get from the official ticket
agent. Your possession of a ticket constitutes your acceptance of these T&Cs.

1.2 – “EDF”, “Us”, “We”, “Our” means Eilean Dorcha Festival and/or its representatives, employees and sub-contractors.

1.3 – We reserve the right to implement restrictions/conditions before and during the Event to ensure it is safe. You must comply with any and all instructions given to you by Event staff and stewards and you may be evicted without a refund if you fail to comply.

1.4 – We reserve the right to refuse admission or to remove any person from the site, without refund, for reasons of public safety (including for crowd surfing or moshing, or failure to comply with any measures put in place to combat the spread of Covid-19), any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury, or for any breach of these T&Cs.

1.5 – Tickets are for the Event and any billed Artists and attractions may be subject to change.

1.6 – No trading or promotional activity is allowed within the site without Our prior written consent. Goods using unauthorised logos must be surrendered to Event staff.

1.7 – By entering the site, you give your express consent to your actual/simulated likeness to be included for no fee within any audio or visual recording to be used in any media for any purpose at any time, including CCTV, filming by the police or security staff and/or for marketing.

1.8 – These T&Cs are subject to change from time to time in our sole discretion and We will notify you by posting the amended T&CS to the Event website.

1.9 – We shall have no liability for any loss, injury, illness or damage to any person or property sustained at the Event howsoever caused (including by Us and Our agents) in any circumstances unless caused as a direct result of Our negligence and that which cannot by law be excluded or limited. Any personal property brought to the Event is at your own risk.

1.10 – These T&Cs are governed by Scottish/UK Law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

1.11 – Eilean Dorcha Festival is a fully outdoor event. Customers should come prepared for all weathers and not assume that the event will be under cover.

1.12 – Benbecula is a stunning location and we would like your help in keeping it that way. Please use the recycling bins provided.

1.13 – The site is machair land so please take care on uneven ground. The road to the festival site has cattle grids so please be vigilant and avoid these where possible.

1.14 – Aggressive or anti-social behaviour will be met with a zero-tolerance policy and immediate ejection.

1.15 – Admission will not be allowed to persons presenting a ticket that has already been scanned or to persons whose wristbands have been lost or stolen; keep tickets and wristbands safe – treat them like cash.

1.16 – ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES, ALCOHOL & ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR – This event has a zero tolerance towards illegal substances, underage drinking and anti-social behaviour. Anyone found with illegal substances, behaving in an anti-social manner or under the influence of alcohol under the age of 18 will be ejected from the festival site and reported to the police. This event encourages sensible drinking.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

2.0 - Wristband Collection Notice:

Please note that when picking up wristbands at the festival office you MUST bring your order ID number with you. Unless this is produced wristbands cannot not be issued. Purchase of a ticket for the event and entry to the festival site are subject to the following terms and conditions:

2.1 - All persons under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Each adult may only bring three persons aged under 16 into the event.

2.2 - Wristbands must be worn on wrists to gain entry to venues and must be worn for the duration of each event. Removed bands will automatically become void. You will be asked for sight of your band, so please co-operate with security staff. No wristband means No Entry. Do not lose your wristband as no replacements will be issued.

2.3 - No animals, with the exception of registered guide dogs, will be admitted to the festival site.

2.4 - No glass bottles, cans, alcohol, fireworks, flags, banners, poles or other similar articles may be taken into the festival site. Any such items found may be confiscated and the person refused entry or ejected from the venue without a refund.

2.5 - Security officials representing the festival and police officers shall have the right to request all ticket holders (and the personal property of ticket holders) to be searched, and to refuse admission to or eject from the venue without refund, any ticket holder who refuses to be searched by such police officer or security official.

2.6 - For circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to alter or change the programme.

2.7 - The Festival reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject ticket holders in all reasonable circumstances including in consideration of health and safety, environmental or security concerns. Any ticket holder acting in any manner that may pose a danger to themselves or others (for example if the ticket holder appears to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs, and/or is acting aggressively) shall be ejected from the venue without refund.

2.8 - All performance areas at venues operate a strict no smoking policy. In the interest of safety, this will be rigidly enforced and any person not adhering to such a policy may be ejected from the venue without refund.

2.9 - 'Doors' at the festival site are open at the following times:

Friday 2pm

Saturday 2pm 

2.10 - All ticket holders consent to any official filming, photography and sound recordings as members of the audience and to the use, reproduction, storage and broadcasting of such films and recordings (including copies made) by the festival or its representatives.

2.11 - No tickets will be refunded or exchanged unless the event is completely cancelled when only the face value of the ticket will be refunded.
