Creating Safe Spaces Together

At EDF, community means looking out for one another. That’s why we’re proud to support and highlight the important work of The Canmore Trust and Action for Children.

The Canmore Trust is dedicated to suicide prevention and supporting those affected by suicide, with a vision of a world where people feel mentally, physically and socially safe enough to stay.

Action for Children works to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people, helping every child have a safe, happy childhood and the chance to thrive.

Each year, Action for Children supports EDF by running our Safe Space — a calm, supportive area for anyone who needs help during the festival. We’re incredibly grateful to their trained volunteers for looking out for our young people and festival community.

We’re also delighted to welcome the MOWI Salmon Wagon back to EDF 2026, with MOWI generously donating their festival takings to The Canmore Trust.

Action for Children will also have collection cans on site, and we’d be grateful for any support you can give towards their work with young people in Uist with all money raised staying locally.

If you’re struggling, please remember help is available and you don’t have to face things alone. A conversation, a kind word, or simply being there can make a real difference.
